The Giants released Holmes (concussion) on Tuesday, Michael Eisen of the team's official site reports.
Holmes did not survive the Giants' final roster cuts after he suffered a concussion during the team's preseason finale Sunday. The 26-year-old recorded eight tackles and one pass defended over eight games with the Saints in 2021, and he will now look to get healthy before landing a new contract this regular season.
