Mims (hip) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game at Carolina.
A hip injury sidelined Mims for the final two weeks of August, but it won't threaten his availability for Week 1. Playing time is the real concern, even if slot man Jamison Crowder remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list through Sunday. The Jets also have veteran wideouts Corey Davis and Keelan Cole on hand, plus second-round pick Elijah Moore and backup slot man Braxton Berrios. That said, Mims is a recent second-round pick himself, so he should be able to earn more snaps if he looks good in a limited role.
