The Ducks reassigned Sherwood to AHL San Diego on Sunday, Eric Stephens of The Athletic reports.
The 24-year-old never saw action at the NHL level in two opportunities since he was summoned from the minors Feb. 6. Sherwood will return to the AHL, where he's collected 14 goals and 21 points across 30 games this campaign.
