Toews had a goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Senators.

After contributing the primary helper on Gabriel Landeskog's first-period power-play marker, Toews set up overtime when he scored with the goalie pulled at the 18:40 mark of the third period. It was the defenseman's fourth multi-point effort, leaving him with 13 points over 12 games. The Avalanche played without Toews' usual partner, Cale Makar, who was scratched with an upper-body injury.
