Rantanen posted an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks.
While not directly involved as much as Nazem Kadri or Gabriel Landeskog (two points each), Rantanen was able to pick up an assist in the season opener. The Finn racked up 66 points, 177 shots on goal and a plus-30 rating in 52 games last year, cementing himself as one of the top right wings in the league. He should continue to make an impact in a top-line role in 2021-22.
