Lankinen cleared the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Wednesday, Carter Baum of the Blackhawks' official site reports.
Arvid Soderblom was reassigned to AHL Rockford in a corresponding move Wednesday, paving the way for Lankinen to return to action Thursday versus Montreal. Lankinen's gone 2-5-3 while posting a 3.43 GAA and an .884 save percentage through 11 games this season.
