Gaunce was recalled on an emergency basis by the Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

Gaunce's promotion might suggest one of Columbus' forwards is dealing with an illness or an injury ahead of Tuesday's game versus Montreal. He's picked up three points through eight NHL appearances this year.
