Carrick signed a one-year contract with the Ducks on Sunday, Elliott Teaford of Pasadena Star News reports.
Carrick has thrived in the minor leagues since being sent back to AHL San Diego in January, but the Ducks have now opted to lock him up as a depth option. The 28-year-old is set to play under a $700,000 salary for the 2020-21 campaign.
