Zegras scored twice on three shots and added 10 PIM in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Capitals.
Zegras received a misconduct penalty after his second goal secured the win for the Ducks at 4:14 of the extra session. It was the 1,000th win in franchise history. The 20-year-old has played in just 39 games with the team in the last two years, but he's been impressive in 2021-22 with six goals, four assists, 34 shots on net and 16 PIM in 15 outings this season. Five of his 10 points have come in the last two contests.
