Oesterle was reassigned to AHL Calgary on Friday, according to Randy Sportak of The Hockey News.
Oesterle has eight assists in 12 AHL contests this season. He also has two helpers in 22 outings with the Flames. This move might be a paper transaction to keep him eligible for the AHL playoffs, so it wouldn't be surprising if Oesterle is recalled Saturday.
