Sandstrom was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Although he'll head to the minors for now, Sandstrom will likely be back with the big club ahead of Sunday's matchup with Pittsburgh. He's gone 0-2-1 while posting a 3.30 GAA and a .915 save percentage through three top-level appearances this year.
