Athanasiou scored two goals including the game-winner in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Sabres.

After a scoreless first period, Athanasiou took an outlet pass from Mikey Anderson, steamed through the neutral zone and then went top shelf on Dustin Tokarski for what proved to be the game-winning goal. The speedy forward then added one of two empty-netters for the Kings. Athanasiou had missed the prior five games with an undisclosed issue, the latest in a litany of injuries this season, but he seemed 100 percent healthy upon his return, with his first tally of the afternoon being the 100th of his career. On the year, he's managed seven goals and 11 points in 20 games.
