Cirelli (shoulder) was transferred to long-term injured reserve Tuesday, per CapFriendly.
Cirelli will be out until late November, so this move allows the Lightning to gain some cap flexibility. The 25-year-old underwent shoulder surgery in July. Once he returns, he should fill a middle-six role.
