Seabrook (back) was traded from the Blackhawks to the Lightning in exchange for Tyler Johnson and a 2023 second-round pick Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Seabrook announced the end of his playing career in March, but he has not officially retired on account of the business side of the NHL. As such, the Lightning will place the defenseman on long-term injured reserve to free some additional cap space during the 2021-22 campaign.
