Andersen left Saturday's game against the Sabres in the first period after suffering an upper-body injury.
Andersen allowed two goals on 16 shots before giving way to Curtis McElhinney, who finished up the disastrous 5-2 defeat in Buffalo. It's uncertain how long Andersen will be sidelined, but it's bad news for a team which just appeared to be hitting its stride while coming close to securing a playoff spot.
