Mikheyev is set to undergo an X-ray on his broken thumb to determine how much progress he's made in his recovery, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
It's been a little less than two months since Mikheyev suffered a broken thumb, and it doesn't seem like the 27-year-old winger is particularly close to making his season debut, as the Maple Leafs are unsure if he'll travel on Toronto's upcoming Western road trip beginning in Edmonton on Dec. 14. Mikheyev picked up seven goals, 17 points and 107 shots on net through 54 games last campaign.
