Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner: Exit deemed precautionary

Marner (undisclosed) exited Tuesday's practice early due to precautionary reasons and will be reevaluated Wednesday morning, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

At this point it doesn't sound like Marner is in danger of missing Wednesday's regular-season opener versus Montreal, but fantasy managers will want to check in following morning skate to verify the 24-year-old forward's status. Marner racked up 20 goals and 67 points in 55 contests last campaign.
