Pickard was summoned by Edmonton on Wednesday.
Pickard has a 2.03 GAA and a .939 save percentage in four contests with AHL Bakersfield this season. The 31-year-old goaltender is expected to compete with Stuart Skinner, who has struggled this campaign, for starts moving forward. Jack Campbell went unclaimed on waivers and was reassigned to Bakersfield on Wednesday.
