Foegele (upper body) was on the ice Thursday on the first day of the Oilers' training camp, Bob Stauffer of the Oilers Radio Network reports.

Foegele was acquired from the Hurricanes in a trade in July, and the Oilers inked him to a three-year deal. The 25-year-old winger recorded 20 points in 53 contests last year, and he should be in line for a third-line job entering 2021-22. He practiced on a line with Derek Ryan and Zack Kassian on Thursday, and all three of those forwards should be locks for bottom-six roles.
