Penguins' Evan Rodrigues: Hat trick against Sharks

Rodrigues scored three goals, one on the power play, in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Sharks.

Remarkably it wasn't even the biggest performance of the day for the Penguins, as Bryan Rust recorded a hat trick as well but added two helpers to his ledger. Rodrigues lit the lamp twice in the first period, then added a crucial insurance marker late in the third as San Jose was scrambling to find an equalizer after mounting a comeback from a 6-1 deficit. The 28-year-old is having a breakout campaign in a top-six role for Pittsburgh, racking up 13 goals and 26 points through 31 games.
