Paul was assigned to AHL Binghamton on Wednesday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Paul notched 24 games under his belt with the Senators last year, but it seems as though his fellow competitors (most notably Ryan Dzingel) have made more noise throughout training camp and preseason action. The 21-year-old will get a few more shots throughout the year, but has little fantasy value unless he can win a top-six role at some point.
