Karlsson posted a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Jets.
Karlsson set up Jasper Weatherby's first NHL goal at 13:17 of the second period, tying the game at 2-2. The 31-year-old Karlsson has battled injuries over his three seasons with the Sharks, and his offense was down to 22 points in 52 games last year. His scoring rate should rebound a bit in 2021-22, but it's tough to expect much more than 40 points out of the Swede even if he can stay healthy.
