Braves' unlikely victory in graph form

The Nationals had a win expectancy percentage of 99.8 after taking a 9-0 lead against Atlanta on Friday night. But that's why there's the .2 percent, as Atlanta came back to win, 11-10 in 11 innings.

We may have a front-runner for game of the season -- the Braves' 11-10 11-inning victory over the Nationals. With Stephen Strasburg on the mound with a 9-0 lead, it seemed Washington would extend its lead to 4 1/2 games in the National League East.

According to FanGraphs.com, when the Nationals took a 9-0 lead in the fifth inning, their win expectancy percentage was 99.8. Check out the chart:

On the flip side, the Nationals had just a 10.4 percent win expectancy after Michael Bourn's triple, only to force extra innings with Danny Espinosa's homer off of Craig Kimbrel in the bottom of the ninth.
