Thursday afternoon the best-of-five League Division Series round of the postseason will begin with the Rangers at Blue Jays (3:30pm ET) and then the Astros at Royals (7:30pm ET). The NL side -- Cubs at Cardinals and Mets at Dodgers -- will begin Friday.

Trying to predict what will happen in a short series or an individual game is foolish in baseball, because anything can happen. Besides, it would be boring if we could predict everything. That won't stop us from trying though. Here are our official predictions for the LDS round of the postseason:

Almost unanimous! Everyone sees the Blue Jays having their way with the Rangers and the Dodgers besting the Mets. We all also have the Royals beating the Astros with the series going the full five games.

The only thing we can agree on in the remaining series is that it will go the full five games. Three of us picked the Cardinals, two the Cubs. Intrigue! Feel free to bookmark this post and save for future mocking purposes.
