Nationals' Michael Almanzar: Re-signs with Nationals
Almanzar agreed to a minor-league deal with Washington on Wednesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Almanzar finished up the 2017 campaign with Triple-A Syracuse within the Nationals' system, and that is likely where he will begin the 2018 season. The 27-year-old has yet to play in a major-league contest, and is unlikely to do so next year on a stacked Washington roster.

Tigers' Michael Almanzar: Signs minor league contract with Tigers
Almanzar signed a minor league contract with the Tigers on Tuesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
The 26-year-old, who has never appeared in the majors, batted .241/.297/.380 with 10 home runs and 41 RBI across 410 at-bats with the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate last season. Although he has shown improvement across the board, Almanzar will likely stay in Triple-A another year.

Orioles' Michael Almanzar: Goes 1-12 in spring training
Almanzar only got one hit in 12 spring training plate appearances, striking out three times.
The 25-year-old hit .225 last year in his first full season in Triple-A Norfolk; coupled that with the fact that the Orioles have a star third baseman in Manny Machado, and Almanzar seems destined for another season in Norfolk.

Orioles' Michael Almanzar: Re-signs with Orioles on minor league contract
Almanzar re-signed with the Orioles on a minor league contract Wednesday, Steve Melewski of MASN Sports reports.
Almanzar spent all of 2015 with Triple-A Norfolk, hitting .225 with four home runs and 50 RBI. With the depth the Orioles have at third base, the 24-year-old could spend 2016 in Norfolk once again.
