For the second time in five years, the Broncos could be forced to change the name of their stadium, which is currently called Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Sports Authority bought the naming rights in 2011, but it's not clear how much longer the company will be able to afford to keep the rights after it filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday.

According to the Denver Post, Sports Authority currently pays $6 million per year for the naming rights in a deal that's set to run through the 2021 season.

Despite the bankruptcy, Broncos VP of public relations Patrick Smyth said there have been "no changes" to the team's relationship with Sports Authority.

"Sports Authority has been an excellent partner with our organization for the past 10 years," Smyth told 9News.com. "During this period, they have made every payment as part of our sponsorship and naming rights agreement. There have been no changes to our long-standing relationship with Sports Authority."

The company's next payment is due in August and it's not clear if Sports Authority will be able to make the payment. The company already missed a $20 million debt payment in January, which is a big reason it had to file for bankruptcy, according to CNN

The company plans on closing 140 of its 450 stores.

Sports Authority took over the naming rights in 2011 after Invesco decided that that it wasn't a good fit anymore with the Broncos. Before 2011, the stadium was called Invesco Field at Mile High.

Maybe it's just meant to be called Mile High Stadium.
