Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Racks up six receptions
Meyers recorded six receptions on nine targets for 40 yards in Saturday's 47-17 wild-card round loss to Buffalo.
Meyers led the team with nine targets, though he was out-produced by Kendrick Bourne. The majority of Meyers' work came with the game well out of reach, though he did tally a 19-yard reception to set up a field goal for New England just before halftime. He was otherwise limited to short gains. Meyers will enter the offseason as a restricted free agent, though after commanding 126 targets and tallying 83 receptions in 2021, it's likely that the Patriots will look to retain him for 2022 and beyond.... Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Playing in wild-card round
Meyers (thigh) is listed as active for Saturday night's game against the Bills.
Meyers was limited at practice this past week as he continues to manage a thigh issue he played through in Weeks 17 and 18. Assuming no in-game setbacks, he'll continue to head the Patriots' wideout corps Saturday along with Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne. Over the course of 17 regular-season outings, Meyers led the team with 83 catches (on 126 targets) for 866 yards and a pair of TDs, a rate of production on the part of the 25-year-old that yielded fantasy relevance in PPR formats.... Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Questionable for playoff opener
Meyers (thigh) is listed as questionable for Saturday night's playoff game against the Bills after practicing in a limited fashion once again Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Meyers is one of 13 players listed as questionable for the contest by the Patriots, but we'd be surprised if he wasn't available for the team's playoff opener. To be sure, his status should be verified ahead of Saturday night's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, but the wideout was on the field for 52 of a possible 62 snaps on offense in Week 18 en route to catching four of his eight targets for 70 yards in a loss to the Dolphins. With no reported setbacks, we suspect that his listed practice limitations this week were maintenance-related.... See More ... See Less
Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Still dealing with thigh injury
Meyers (thigh) was listed as limited on Tuesday's estimated injury report.
Meyers is operating under the same practice regimen for a third straight week. In the final two games of the regular season, he still logged at least 77 percent of the offensive snaps on both occasions, reeling in 12 of 16 targets for 143 yards and one touchdown. Even if his reps continue to be managed Wednesday and Thursday and he enters the weekend as questionable, Meyers doesn't appear to be in danger of sitting out Saturday's wild-card contest in Buffalo.... Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Four catches in Sunday's loss
Meyers caught four of eight targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 33-24 loss to the Dolphins.
It was the fifth time this season Meyers has hauled in at least 70 yards in a game, but the only scoring plays he was involved in went the other way -- he was Mac Jones' intended target on a pick-six in the first quarter, and the third-year wideout was then charged with a fumble on the final play of the game as he tried to pitch it to a teammate, resulting in a Miami recovery in the end zone for a second defensive TD. Meyers wraps up a career-best regular season with 87 catches on 130 targets for 936 yards and two touchdowns, and he'll look to atone for Sunday's mistakes in the wild-card round against the Bills.... Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Active for Sunday's game
Meyers (thigh) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Meyers, who practiced in a limited fashion this past week, will give it a go Sunday and should head the Patriots' Week 18 wideout corps along with Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne. Heading into the team's regular-season finale, Meyers has complied a 79-796-2 stat line on 118 targets through 16 games to date, production that makes him worthy of fantasy lineup consideration, especially in PPR formats.... Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Questionable for Sunday
Meyers (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins after practicing in a limited fashion this past week.
Given the 'questionable' designation, Meyers' status is worth verifying ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, but it'd be a surprise if he wasn't out there Sunday alongside fellow wideouts Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne. Assuming he's active, Meyers, who has logged a 79-796-2 stat line on 118 targets through 16 games, merits Week 18 fantasy consideration, notably in PPR formats.... See More ... See Less
Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Another limited session
Meyers (thigh) remained limited at practice Thursday.
So far, there's nothing to suggest that Meyers' availability for Sunday's game against the Dolphins is in danger, but it still seems likely that the wideout will head into the weekend with an official 'questionable' Week 18 injury designation.... See More ... See Less
Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Logs limited practice
Meyers (thigh) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
Meyers was listed as questionable with the same injury for Week 17, but he proceeded to play through the health concern in Sunday's win over the Jaguars, playing 56 of the Patriots' 72 offensive snaps and finishing with eight catches for 73 yards and a touchdown. With no reported setbacks coming out of that contest, Meyers may have just received some extra maintenance to begin Week 18.... See More ... See Less
Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Leads team in receptions
Meyers (thigh) brought in all eight targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' 50-10 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Meyers paced the Patriots in receptions while checking in just behind Kendrick Bourne in receiving yardage. The third-year pro posted his best catch total since Week 4 while taking advantage of the absences of both Nelson Agholor (concussion) and N'Keal Harry (coach's decision), and his four-yard scoring grab just before halftime was only his second touchdown of the campaign. Meyers will have one final regular-season tune-up for the playoffs when he tangles with the Dolphins in Week 18.... See More ... See Less
Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Active for Sunday's game
Meyers (thigh) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
With Nelson Agholor (concussion) having previously been ruled out for the contest and N'Keal Harry (hip) inactive, Meyers should be in line to head the Patriots' Week 17 wideout corps along with Kendrick Bourne, with Gunner Olszewski and Kristian Wilkerson candidates to mix in as well. Meyers has carved out a degree of utility in PPR formats this season by logging a 71-723-1 receiving line (on 110 targets) over the course of 15 games.... See More ... See Less
Patriots' Jakobi Meyers: Listed as questionable
Meyers (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Meyers was able to practice in a limited fashion this past week, so he'll likely have a good chance of getting cleared ahead of Sunday's game, which kicks off at 1 p.m. ET. With Nelson Agholor (concussion) ruled out, Meyers -- if active -- would be in line to head the Patriots' Week 17 wideout corps along with Kendrick Bourne and N'Keal Harry. Through 15 games to date, Meyers has made a mark in PPR formats by logging a 71-723-1 receiving line on 110 targets.... See More ... See Less
