Rojas was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
Rojas has appeared in 46 games for the Angels this season, but he was unable to retain his spot on the big-league roster while hitting .211/.263/.406 with four homers, 13 doubles, 10 RBI and 19 runs in 137 plate appearances. The 28-year-old could rejoin the Halos later on when a utility player is needed.
