Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 11-4 loss to San Francisco.
Smith launched his second home run in as many games in the eighth inning off Jimmie Sherfy to bring Arizona within shouting distance, before the Giants plated four in the ninth and put the game out of reach. The 25-year-old first baseman/outfielder has already set a career high in plate appearances (312) and should continue to be a steady presence in the lineup for the remainder of the season.
