Brito (finger) has appeared in seven games during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Reno, recording nine hits (four for extra bases) across 24 at-bats.

Brito was in contention for a reserve spot in the Diamondbacks' outfield heading into spring training, but a dislocated finger suffered in a March 8 Cactus League game dashed those hopes. After undergoing surgery on the digit, Brito spent the last two months recovering before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment with Reno on May 22. Considering the length of his absence along with the Diamondbacks' lack of need for outfield depth, Brito is expected to remain on assignment for the maximum 20 days before the team would have to activate him from the 60-day DL. It's likely that Brito will immediately be optioned back to Reno upon his activation.
