Gonzalez (back) said that he expects to remain out past the minimum 10 days required for his disabled list stint, Bill Shaikin of The Los Angeles Times reports.

The aging slugger noted that he will be ready only when he can take a swing without pain, and not when the minimum 10 days is up. Gonzalez didn't offer a concrete timetable for his potential return, leaving his fantasy owners in the dark. The Dodgers will have no problems letting the 34-year-old rest, as Cody Bellinger has stepped in and outperformed him in every way so far. The rookie's ability to play the outfield should open a spot at first for Gonzalez when he is ready to return, but we just don't know exactly when that will be.
