Freese (ankle) is starting at first base and hitting cleanup Saturday against the Padres, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
He has been sidelined since Tuesday with an ankle injury but will return for this game as expected. With lefty Joey Lucchesi starting for the Padres, Freese gets a prime spot in the heart of the Dodgers' lineup.
