Nunez will undergo Tommy John surgery, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Nunez was pulled from a game last Friday with what was originally called "wrist pain" but which is evidently something much more serious. A typical recovery timeline would see him return to game action sometime in the middle of the 2022 season.
