Plesac (thumb) will make a rehab start with Double-A Akron on Tuesday, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Plesac has been working through a throwing program for about three weeks in his recovery from a broken thumb. It's unclear how many starts he'll make on his rehab assignment with Akron, but if it's no more than two, he has a chance to return to Cleveland prior to the All-Star break.
