GM Neal Huntington said Sunday that Cervelli (hand) will return to Pittsburgh following Sunday's game, with the possibility the backstop comes off the DL on Tuesday.

The general manager stated on his weekly radio show that fellow rehabbing catcher, Elias Diaz, wouldn't be promoted from Double-A to Triple-A until Cervelli left Triple-A for the majors. Diaz was promoted late Sunday afternoon, meaning there's a decent chance Cervelli is activated prior to Tuesday's game against Milwaukee. Huntington warned that Cervelli "looks like a catcher who's been down a month" but that Jung-Ho Kang struggled in his rehab and homered twice in his season debut.
