Manager Clint Hurdle confirmed that Taillon will not take his regular turn in the rotation Tuesday, though he added that the righty will start again in 2017, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

"We're going to skip him," Hurdle said. "Who we're going to plug in is yet to be determined. We've got Steven Brault. We'll see how the Triple-A situation works out, but somebody will pick up his start. And then we're going to plug him back in." Taillon has struggled with his control in 2017, with his walks per nine innings more than doubling (1.5 to 3.3).
