Hicks went 2-for-4 with a home run and a pair of runs scored Thursday against Oakland.

Making his first major-league appearance since 2019, the former Mariner and Tiger blasted a solo homer in the sixth inning and added a single in the eighth. The 31-year-old has enjoyed productive stretches in his previous MLB stints -- he had a .766 OPS for Detroit in 2017 and popped 13 homers in 2019 -- but is likely headed back to Triple-A Round Rock once Jose Trevino (forearm) is back to full health.
