Springs is scheduled to throw in an extended spring training game May 20, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Springs will take another step forward in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, seeing his first game action since April of 2023. The southpaw seems to be on track for a return to the Rays' rotation in July or August.
