Morrison is out of the lineup Friday against the Yankees, Steve Carney of Tampa Bay Sports Radio reports.
Morrison will have the day off as the Rays opt to start Steve Pearce at first base. Since returning from his wrist injury, Morrison has gone 0-for-5 at the plate and is now hitting just .228/.304/.371 for the season.
