Schrock is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.
With lefty Dillon Peters on the hill for Pittsburgh, the Reds will stock up on some extra right-handed bats in the series opener. Along with Schrock, fellow lefty-hitting regular Mike Moustakas will hit the bench.
