Tinoco was designated for assignment by the Rockies on Friday.
Tinoco spent time with the Marlins and Rockies in 2020, but he'll now be removed from Colorado's 40-man roster. Several prospects had their contracts selected in corresponding moves in order to protect them from the Rule 5 draft. Tinoco posted a 1.04 ERA and 1.15 WHIP over 8.2 relief innings last year.
