Olivares was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports reports.
Olivares was sent to Omaha on Thursday but will now head back to the big leagues with Adalberto Mondesi (hamstring) landing on the IL. The outfielder has gone 4-for-11 with a pair of runs scored and a stolen base across three games in the big leagues this season. He'll start in right field and bat sixth Sunday against the Twins, according to Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City.
