McRae was reassigned to minor-league camp Monday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
McRae was invited to spring training as a non-roster invitee with a chance to win a bullpen role. He hasn't experienced much prolonged success in the major leagues, though he did manage three scoreless innings as a reliever in 2020 for the White Sox.
