Plumlee cleared health and safety protocols and returned to practice Monday, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Coach James Borrego said Tuesday that he expects Plumlee to get some playing time in the Hornets' preseason finale against the Mavericks on Wednesday. Plumlee started the preseason opener but missed the next contests, so it's unclear where, exactly, he stands in the battle for the starting center spot. It's very possible coach James Borrego could switch between Plumlee and P.J. Washington based on matchups during the regular season.
