The Dolphins placed Norton (arm) on the Non-Football Injury list Tuesday, per the NFL transactions report.
Norton now reverts to the NFI list after clearing waivers. The non-football injury designation allows the defensive tackle to earn a full salary for the 2019 season. Norton was expected to compete for a roster spot in training camp before being involved in a serious car accident.
