Hurst was initially released but then re-signed the same one-year deal with San Francisco that he signed in March 2022.
Hurst will get a chance after all to make up for an injury-ridden 2021 campaign with the 49ers. He appeared in just two games, recording 40 defensive snaps and two solo tackles over that brief stretch.
