Williams (groin) picked up an injury during Monday's practice, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Williams, who spent time on the Chiefs' practice squad last season, is currently competing to earn a reserve role. Any time spent on the sideline could decrease his chances of sticking on the roster.
