Cornelius Lucas: Let go by New Orleans

Lucas was waived by the Saints on Saturday, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.

Lucas signed with the Saints on Thursday, so he'll end his stint in the Big Easy without seeing game action. The 27-year-old's departure was likely in part due to starters Max Unger (concussion) and Terron Armstead (pectoral/knee) being healthy enough to drop their injury designations.
