The Cowboys elevated Evans to the active roster Saturday.
Evans joined the Cowboys' practice squad Oct. 12 after being granted his release from the Eagles' taxi squad Sept. 16. He registered 159 tackles last season for the Falcons while playing in all 17 games and will provide crucial depth at linebacker with Leighton Vander Esch (neck) on injured reserve.
