Eagles' Jordan Howard: Likely out against Giants

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Monday that Howard (knee) is unlikely to play in the team's Week 12 game against the Giants, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Howard suffered a knee sprain in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Saints and likely will miss at least one game due to the injury. If Howard ultimately is held out Week 12, Boston Scott should serve as the primary backup to Miles Sanders. Kenneth Gainwell also would suit up and have a small role in the game plan after he was a healthy inactive against New Orleans.
